Executive Producer for the Target Archer Farms sponsorship promotion, Quicken
Arena in Cleveland, OH
Project Description
Target was a sponsor of the 2007 “World’s Toughest Cowboy” Rodeo. They chose the
Cleveland, OH show as their test market for the sponsorship activation. Target
wanted a unique idea to compliment their presence as a major sponsor of this
event.
Target gave away free chili to the first 2,000 Rodeo attendees in their custom
built Archer Farm area, located on the 1st level of the arena. Local performers
were hired to meet and greet the guests and to hand out Target gift bags after
the Rodeo. The evening concluded with a “celebrity cowboy” autograph signing in
the space.
Project Details
Shannon flew to Cleveland for a site inspection on February 6. With just 17 days
to complete the design and construction of the set, hire talent and order
costumes, create signage and work with the in house catering company to create a
custom Target chili recipe, this project moved at a lightening pace. The entire
set was loaded in on the day of the show in a record 8 hours! All 2,000 bowls of
chili were served while guests enjoyed an incredible Target experience.
