Executive Producer for Scholars Walk/Wall of Discovery Reveal and Dedication
Project Description
The Scholars Walk, a wide pathway featuring 40 bur oak trees and lighted
monuments, celebrates the research and classroom accomplishments of the U’s
award-winning faculty and students and for the first time provides a prominent,
permanent memorial to those honored. The Wall of Discovery is a 253’ lighted
mural that provides concrete examples of research and scholarship in an
interesting and engaging way. An event to celebrate the completion of both
projects was scheduled for September 29, 2006. 400 guests attended a dinner and
short program at McNamara Center and then walked down to the Wall of Discovery
for the unveiling ceremony. Prior to that event, an afternoon unveiling for all
of the faculty and students took place.

Hired Gwen Matthews to sing a gospel version of the Rouser
and re-wrote the lyrics for the Scholars Walk dedication
